Why Have I Hated Chinese Korean?
-Qualitative Research (2021)

This study seeks to understand how people induce and learn anonymous users’ hatred and how it is circulated in online communities. In particular, this study examines the process of reception of hate speech about Chinese Koreans (CK), who have long been discriminated against and hated by native Koreans and the media.

The Modes of Manifestations of Chinese Korean and Its Impacts (2019)

This study, aims to first provide qualitative research by a content analysis method to examine the modes in which Chinese Koreans are depicted in hit movies over the last decade. Then, it figures out the exact period when the process of resonance and mainstreaming was achieved by inspecting data extracted by Google Trends. Last, it examines the images formed by media using a text- mining method, which is one of the big data technologies targeting YouTube content.
